1970 Jim Beam Indianapolis 500 Regal Commemorative Decanter

A spirited piece of American motorsports history, this vintage 1970 Jim Beam commemorative decanter celebrates the 54th Indianapolis 500. Made by Regal China Corporation, the sculptural ceramic bottle features a raised open-wheel race car, Indianapolis lettering, checkered flags, and references to the 1911 inaugural race and the May 30, 1970 running. The reverse displays racing flags, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway winged-wheel emblem, and “The World’s Greatest Sports Spectacle 1911–1970.” Al Unser won the 1970 race from pole position, leading 190 of 200 laps. Originally filled with 4/5 quart of Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the bottle is now empty and offered solely as a decorative collectible. Its plaque-like profile displays well in a home bar, study, office, or bookcase—especially for racing enthusiasts. The original stopper, portions of the opened tax strip, and metallic Jim Beam label remain. The ceramic retains strong color and appears in very good vintage condition, with minor expected age wear.
