Why we like it

A wonderfully pretty vintage Pierre Deux lamp with all the charm of a French country house.

The rounded white ceramic base is decorated with a delicate hand-painted bouquet in soft pinks and leafy greens, gathered together with a wonderfully loose pink ribbon. Fine painted bands around the base give it just enough additional detail without taking away from its beautifully simple shape.

Signed Pierre Deux on the underside, the lamp comes from the celebrated French-country design house that helped introduce generations of American decorators to the relaxed beauty of Provençal interiors.

We've paired the vintage ceramic base with a new classic white shade, allowing the original painted pottery to remain the star. Pretty enough for a bedroom or dressing room but sophisticated enough for a living room, library or entry table.
