Vintage Kraftware Black & Gold British Crest Ice Bucket

Why we like it

Now this is a proper ice bucket. 

Bold, handsome and wonderfully old-school, this vintage Kraftware ice bucket has a black faux-leather exterior emblazoned with a wonderfully grand British heraldic crest. Gold-tone hardware—including its gleaming lid, oversized ring finial and substantial handle—gives the whole piece the feeling of something that might have been lifted from the bar of an old London club.

Made by Kraftware of New York, a name closely associated with stylish mid-century entertaining pieces, the bucket has a clean white insulated interior and a fitted lid for keeping ice at the ready.

The heraldic decoration has acquired noticeable wear over the years, which we think only adds to its rakish vintage character. Pair it with old crystal, a good bottle of Scotch and a stack of cocktail books and the bar is practically finished., and definitely looking like Ralph Lauren would approve!
