Formulary 55: The Hard-Working Kind of Beautiful
Share
Formulary 55 is still relatively new to Clever Girl, but it has already found a remarkably loyal following. Customers are coming back for it, recommending it, and trying another product after discovering the first one.
We’ve been especially pleased with the Nourish Daily Body Oil, the Hand & Body Crèmes, and the Shea Butter Soaps. They’re lovely additions to an everyday routine, and the repeat visits suggest our customers feel the same way.
Formulary 55 is made in Pueblo, Colorado, by a women-owned company with a straightforward approach to bath and body care: beautifully made products that are intended to actually do something.
These are not products that rely on packaging alone. They moisturize. They soften. They nourish. They make dry skin feel considerably better. And they manage to do all of that while still smelling wonderful.
One of the products that immediately caught our attention is the Nourish Daily Body Oil. It gives skin the sort of moisture you want without feeling excessively heavy or greasy, and it has quickly become one of the standouts in the collection.

The Hand & Body Crèmes are another favorite — rich enough to feel substantial, but practical enough to use every day.

The Shea Butter Soaps have that same wonderfully uncomplicated quality: good ingredients, lovely fragrance, and skin that feels better after you use them.

We also like that the fragrance choices feel distinctive without becoming overwhelming. Sea Salt & Lavender, Palo Santo & Oud, Honeycomb & Neroli, Vintage Peony, and Blood Orange & Amber each have their own personality, but the product itself is always the point.
That may be what we like most about Formulary 55.
It is a line that quietly proves itself.
There is something very satisfying about discovering a product that does exactly what you hoped it would do — and then does it well enough that you start telling other people about it.
Apparently, quite a few Clever Girl customers have already begun doing exactly that.
